When your hair has been damaged from over colouring or chemical damage it can feel like nothing can help.

There are however several things that you can do to help bring your hair back to life.

1. Give your hair a good trim. 

Split ends cannot be repaired and the best way to get rid of them is by trimming them. Regular trims will prevent split ends from traveling up the hair shaft, which will cause further damage.

2. Invest in a professional range of shampoo and conditioner. 

Either a range that will repair the hair bonds or a damage repair range.

3. Use an intense treatment weekly. 

A deep repair treatment should be used weekly to provide intense nourishment and repair damage to the hair.

4. Avoid all heat styling tools. 

When your hair is damaged it is in a fragile state and any heat can cause breakage and further damage. If you use heat styling tools such as hair dryers, straighteners or curling irons try to limit your usage. If you need to use a heat tool reduce the temperature and ALWAYS use a heat protection spray.

5. Eat a healthy diet: 

Eating a diet rich in vitamins and minerals can help to promote healthy hair growth.

6. Avoid harsh chemicals: 

Try to avoid using harsh chemicals on your hair, such as bleach or hair dye, as they can cause further damage.
